FAQ

I. How does the PROteinBIOTIC differ from the products available on the market?

– PROteinBIOTIC is a unique product for many reasons.

1. It is the first dietary supplement developed in close cooperation with the Polish Academy of Sciences.
2. It is the only supplement on the market which is a combination of high-quality proteins and bacteria with probiotic properties. Bacterias found in PROteinBIOTIC are unique bacterias, they have properties confirmed by the Polish Academy of Sciences (e.g. antagonistic properties against pathogens such as Salmonella, E.coli, etc.) and what is most important, they do not appear in other products.

II. There are much cheaper products on the market, why does PROteinBIOTIC cost so much?
High quality components are burdened with higher price, additionally the highest quality bacterial charge consisting of two strains (Lactobacillus plantarum AMT14 and Bifidobacterium animalis AMT30) produced in pharmaceutical conditions, all together makes the price of the product may seem high, however, the customer receives the highest quality product in return.

III. Why do I need protein in PROteinBIOTIC?
Protein in PROteinBIOTIC is necessary for many reasons, but the most important is the fact that the components of the protein concentrate are the first source of food for bacterial strains contained in the product, which guarantees rapid activation of bacteria and their proliferation, additionally, during the metabolic processes the proteins are pre-treated, and this results in the breakdown of protein chains into shorter elements – it causes that during the use of PROteinBIOTIC we do not observe flatulence or unpleasant smells, and the digestive effect is similar to the absorption of high quality branched amino acids – which results in a faster post-workout regeneration observed.

IV. In many products there are a few – a dozen or so strains, and in PROteinBIOTIC “only” 2. Why?
A large number of strains of bacteria is not always beneficial and justified, i.e. in the case of probiotic bacteria a large variety does not always equal a better pro-health effect. Despite the enormous natural diversity of microorganisms in the gastrointestinal tract, it is estimated that in healthy people there are about 4 species of bacteria of the genera Bifidobacterium sp. and Lactobacillus sp. and Lactobacillus sp. Of course, this does not mean that each of us has the same 4 species of bacteria from the genera Lactobacillus sp. and Bifidobacterium sp. in our intestines, because there is the so-called individual variability. In practice, this means that we isolate different species of bacteria belonging to the genera Lactobacillus sp. and Bifidobacterium sp. from individuals. It is also more important to select such representatives of these rows so that their properties are desired and not their number. We must remember that the properties of a given bacterium do not depend on their species but on their strain, which means that Lactobacillus plantarum A and Lactobacillus plantarum B, although they are both Lactobacillus plantarum, may have completely different properties.
During the development of the PROteinBIOTIC composition, the main focus was on the desired properties of the strains, including high resistance to adverse conditions (gastric acid and bile salts), ease of settlement and high antipathogenic activity. Next, the antagonistic activity of the strains that met the above expectations towards each other was examined – it turned out that some lactobacillus showed antagonism towards bifidobacteria and inhibited their growth, i.e. completely eliminated their activity. Therefore, strains have been selected which show synergy and do not compete with each other.
In some competitive products the selection of strains seems to be based on quantity and not quality. In addition, it sometimes happens that the quantities of bacteria declared in relation to the actual quantities diverge up to 100 times.

V. What does AMT 14 and AMT 30 stand for Lactobacillus plantarum and Bifidobacterium animalis?
The abbreviations AMT 14 and AMT 30 are the own names of selected strains given by the inventor of the strains. In practice, this means that Lactobacillus plantarum AMT 14 and Bifidobacterium animalis AMT 30 strains are unique bacteria that cannot be found in any other product.
The available products contain the same bacterial species from the genera Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, e.g. Lactobacillus plantarum 299v, Bifidobacterium animalis BB-12. The mentioned strains of bacteria are not the same as the bacteria Lactobacillus plantarum AMT 14 and Bifidobacterium animalis AMT 30. The properties of bacteria are assigned to the strain and not to the bacteria species! Lactobacillus plantarum AMT 14 and Bifidobacterium animalis AMT 30 strains have bactericidal properties against Escherichia coli O157:H7 and Staphylococcus aureus. These unique properties of Lactobacillus plantarum AMT 14 and Bifidobacterium animalis AMT 30 set apart in quality these bacterias from other strains of Lactobacillus plantarum and Bifidobacterium animalis species.

VI.  Why should PROteinBIOTICs be stored in the refrigerator while other products can be stored at room temperature?
A temperature of 2-8°C guarantees the shelf life and survival of bacterial strains. Even if many distributors do not recommend fridge storage of products containing lactic acid bacteria, it is to be expected that regardless of the production technology used to produce the product, the number of living bacteria will decrease.

VII.  I suffer from lactose intolerance. Can the protein used in PROteinBIOTIC harm me?
The bacteria contained in PROteinBIOTIC produce β-D-galactosidase, which helps the body digest lactose in people intolerant to lactose sugar (lactose). Therefore, in people with lactose intolerance, in order to prevent symptoms of intolerance, the dosage should be gradually increased, i.e. starting from the half of the portion. In this way, it is possible to settle in bacteria, reducing the effect of lactose intolerance.

VIII. I train intensively and use supplements before and after training. Does taking PROteinBIOTIC in my case make sense?
Yes, taking PROteinBIOTIC will result in better assimilation of other components of supplements, which are taken, among others, as a result of lowering the pH of the intestinal contents.

IX. When is it better to use PROteinBIOTIC, in the morning or in the evening?
It depends on personal preferences and does not affect the effectiveness of the product.

X. Will the strains used in PROteinBIOTIC survive the conditions prevailing in the stomach?
Yes, the bacterial strains in PROteinBIOTIC survive at a low pH of the gastric juice. As far as the effect of “digestion” of bacteria in the stomach and their ability to pass in the active form into the intestines is concerned, it all depends on the properties of a given strain and its resistance to gastric acid and bile salts – we carried out appropriate tests and both the low pH in the stomach and bile salts do not deactivate our bacteria – this has been confirmed by research conducted by the Polish Academy of Sciences.

XI. Most probiotic products are available in capsules protecting bacteria, why not PROteinBIOTIC?
Bacteria contained in PROteinBIOTIC do not require special capsules because they survive in low pH of the stomach and bile salts.

XII.  Why is there no measure/scoop in the PROteinBIOTIC package that would facilitate precise dosage?
In order to avoid an additional potential source of contamination of the product.

XIII. I do not like the taste of PROteinBIOTIC, why it doesn’t contain flavouring substances?
The use of flavouring substances involves the introduction of chemical substances into the product, which may result in the appearance of a food allergy.

XIV. I am in the process of antibiotic therapy, should I stop using PROteinBIOTIC?
In particular, PROteinBIOTIC should not be discontinued during antibiotic therapy, provided that there is no conflict between the optimal pH of the antibiotic and the reduced pH of the intestinal contents under the influence of the probiotic. If it is necessary to take the PROteinBIOTIC at a time interval specified by the doctor or pharmacist after the dose of the antibiotic.

XV. I train intensively, can I increase the amount of PROteinBIOTIC I take?
Do not exceed two daily doses of PROteinBIOTIC due to the high content of easily assimilable protein in the product.
